Miss India contest brought Namitha to the Telugu film industry. After entering Tollywood, sheimmediately grabbed the attention of Telugu film lovers with Sontam and Gemini though the films did not fare well in the box office. She acted in the Hindi film named Love Ke Chakker Mein . Namitha appeared in an English film named Maya( 2006) directed by Eric Manning.
